BB King is the greatest living guitarist, and is ranked 3rd among greatest guitarists of all time behind late Jimi Hendrix and Duane Allman. BB King is known for naming his guitars "Lucille", a tradition that began while playing at a dance hall in Twist, Arkansas in the winter of 1949, where two men knock over a burning barrel of kerosene used for heat during a fight over a woman named Lucille. This triggered a fire and an evacuation. Once outside, BB King realized that he had left his guitar, a Gibson acoustic, inside the burning building and went to retrieve it.
