Eric Clapton is one of the most respected and influential artists of the rock era, earning three inductions into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and considered to be one of the greatest and most influential guitarists in music history. He joined his first band, The Roosters, in 1963 and later that same year joined The Yardbirds where he began to develop his distinctive style. In 1965, Clapton took his guitar and joined John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers where he continued to make a name for himself as an excellent blues player. Clapton left in 1966 and formed the power trio Cream with Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker. The trio found immediate success and redefined the instrumentalist's role in rock and emphasized musical virtuosity, skill and flash with hits like "Sunshine Of Your Love", "White Room" and "Crossroads". After the success and breakup of Cream, Eric Clapton continued to play with numerous artists including The Allman Brothers, Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan as well as playing solo. He recorded such hits as "Layla", "Cocaine" and "Tears in Heaven". Come see the guitar legend Eric Clapton live in concert.
