Jersey Boys is a musical based on the lives of the Four Seasons, one of the most successful chart-topping '60s rock and roll groups. It was introduced on Broadway November 6, 2005 at the August Wilson Theatre. The musical is directed by Des Mcanuff, and uses maybe of the superstars' hit songs to tell of the band's unique story. Jersey Boys is a rags-to-riches tale of four blue-collar kids working their way from the streets of Newark to the heights of stardom. The musical is Broadway's biggest success story about the music of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. It features such hits as "Sherry," "Big Girls Don't Cry," "Can't Take My Eyes Off You," "Oh What a Night" and more. Part concert, part jukebox musical Jersey Boys raked in over $400,000 at the box office the day after it opened to much critical acclaim.
