Rent

  The rock musical Rent is based on the opera La Boheme. Young artists & musicians struggle to survive in New York.

The show received the Tony Award & is considered a rock opera for our time. Rent is to Generation X what Hair is to the baby boomer.

 

The show opened in 1994 briefly then moved on to Broadway where it ran for 12 years.
