Monty Python Spamalot

Winner of the 2005 Tony, Outer Critics and Drama Desk Awards for Best Musical, Monty Python's Spamalot is Broadway's hottest new hit and has been hailed as "a no-holds-barred smash" (The New Yorker) and "the best musical to open on Broadway this year." (The New York Times). Written by Eric Idle and John Du Prez and directed by Mike Nichols, acclaimed as one of the great American directors in film, theater and television and winner of an Oscar for "The Graduate," six Tony Awards, and recently received the Directors' Guild of America Award for Lifetime Achievement, Spamalot tells the legendary tale of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table and their quest for the Holy Grail. It features a bevy of beautiful show girls, killer rabbits, legless knights, men in tights and french people who create an unforgettable musical production. A national tour of the musical will begin on March 7, 2006, at the the Colonial Theater in Boston, Massachusetts and starting in 2007, a production of the musical will reside at a Wynn Las Vegas theatre for ten years. Variety magazine reported advanced tickets sales of $18 million.
